Meiji Kinenkan Original Tiara

『日本の宝』となるようなティアラを目指して制作された本作は、「平和と気品」を意味する”月桂樹”がモチーフ。古代ギリシャのティアラの起源を受け継ぎながら、明治神宮の杜にある“神樹”を想起させる造形で仕上げられています。向かい合った月桂の枝は、新郎新婦の“絆”を表現。葉は職人の手により一枚ずつ彫られ、本真珠の「○」は「和」「円満」「太陽・月・地球」の象徴としてあしらわれています。宝飾硝子「インフィオーラ」による高い屈折率の輝きが、未来と希望の象徴としてティアラ全体を包みます。

About the “Meiji Kinenkan Original Tiara”

Created as a “treasure of Japan,” this tiara features laurel leaves—a symbol of peace and grace—drawing inspiration from ancient Greek origins while echoing the sacred trees of Meiji Shrine.

Two laurel branches face one another, representing the enduring bond between bride and groom.

Each leaf is hand-carved by artisans, and the circular form of the natural pearls symbolizes harmony, unity, and the sun, moon, and earth.

The tiara is illuminated by the brilliance of Infiora, a high-refractive glass, embodying the light of hope and a radiant future.

明治記念館の自然と格式、そして花嫁の“花”をイメージして制作されたオリジナルの髪飾りは、四季折々の花々を、三層に重ねた大輪の花モチーフが特徴。花弁は職人の手作業により金属糸で編み上げられ、繊細かつ軽やかな構造を実現。アンティーク調の葉には、天然真珠と宝飾硝子インフィオーラが散りばめられ、「365日の幸福が咲く人生」を象徴するアイテムとなっています。

Inspired by the natural beauty and refined tradition of Meiji Kinenkan, this original hair ornament features a large floral motif composed of layered blossoms representing Japan’s four seasons.

Each petal is delicately handwoven with metallic threads, achieving both intricate beauty and airy lightness.

Antique-style leaves are adorned with natural pearls and Infiora glass, symbolizing a life in which happiness blooms across all 365 days.

This Interior Chabako is meticulously handcrafted by seasoned Japanese artisans.

It is upholstered in authentic gold-based obi fabric, woven with seasonal floral motifs such as wisteria, peonies, silver grass, bush clover, and chrysanthemums.

ティアラデザイナー TARO KAMITANI（紙谷太朗） 世界初*のオーダーメイド・ティアラデザイナー。 2008年、自身の結婚式で妻に贈るティアラを手作りしたことをきっかけに創作活動を開始。これまでに700点以上のオリジナルティアラを制作。レディー・ガガをはじめとする世界的セレブリティや、映画・CM・舞台・ブランドへの作品提供多数。2024年には『観音山ティアラミュージアム』を開館。2025年6月には、明治記念館オリジナルティアラ制作のドキュメンタリーがNHK WORLDにて世界160か国で放送予定。

Since then, he has created over 700 original tiaras for global celebrities such as Lady Gaga, as well as for films, commercials, stage productions, and luxury brands.In 2024, he opened the Kannon-yama Tiara Museum, Japan’s first dedicated tiara museum. In June 2025, a documentary on his Meiji Kinenkan tiara will be broadcast across 160 countries via NHK WORLD.
